To be able to effectively analyse the thermal stability properties of the above it is necessary to be able to go into the negative temperature ranges. The temperature range is unique to the Netzsch device as no other supplier is able to match this range and do both TGA/DSC. Therefore, for technical reasons the University of Edinburgh purchased the Simultaneous Thermal Analysis Device.
