## Summary

This procurement process, initiated by the Registers of Scotland, concerns the award of a contract for IT temporary and interim staff, specifically targeting a developer role under the SG IT framework. The process is classified under the services category and is situated in Edinburgh. Currently at the award stage, the opportunity was a direct award granted to Venesky Brown Ltd, the supplier ranked number one on the Scottish Government Temporary and Interim Staff (IT) Collaborative Framework Agreement. The contract, valued at £126,000, has a duration of 12 months with possible extensions, though no extension will exceed the original contract term. The procurement process was handled under a direct method, meaning the contract was awarded without competition and hinges significantly on the quality of the interim worker.

This tender offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in IT staffing services, particularly those with the capability to deliver highly qualified interim staff. Organisations with existing credentials in hybrid working arrangements within the UK could find this contract beneficial in showcasing their workforce agility and security compliance, as the role requires BPSS checks. The process places a premium on quality over cost, favouring entities that can demonstrate a high calibre of personnel. Although currently awarded to Venesky Brown Ltd, future similar opportunities under this framework could be attractive for other suppliers seeking to establish or increase their footprint in public sector IT staffing.
