Located in Edinburgh and procured using an open procedure, this award was finalised on 16 April 2025 with a total contract value of £176,160. The contract runs from 24 April 2025 to 31 March 2028. The Scottish Government acted as the buying authority, and the successful supplier was Inspiring Scotland, a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME). The procurement stage is complete, highlighting a structured approach to distributing community-focused support through a robust reporting mechanism. Key dates include the contract’s commencement and conclusion, though there are no additional upcoming deadlines.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in fund management and third sector support, particularly those with expertise in managing community and charitable initiatives. Businesses that excel in providing administrative support, knowledge, and strategic guidance to the third sector are well-suited to such endeavours. As this procurement is centred on empowering play charities to foster community development, enterprises involved in social impact and community enhancement sectors would find substantial growth prospects. Furthermore, the involvement of SMEs like Inspiring Scotland indicates a conducive environment for smaller businesses to engage in public contracts, leveraging their agility and specialised know-how to fulfil public service objectives effectively.
