RPID currently maintain the private water supply serving the townships of Lochportain, Cheesebay and Hoebeg located within the Scottish Ministers' Newton Estate, Isle of North Uist in the Outer Hebrides.The supply includes an intake at Loch nan Cointich, approximately 10 km of water main, and point of use (POU) or a point of entry (POE) water treatment systems located in around 32 properties served.The supply is now registered with and regulated by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar under the Private Water Supply (Scotland) Regulations 2006 and the Water (Scotland) Act 1980.The contract includes activities necessary to ensure water quality meets requirements set by Comhairle Nan Eilean Siar, plus relevant parts of the Private Water Supply (Scotland) Regulations 2006 and Water (Scotland) Act 1980.
