## Summary

Maryhill Housing Association has awarded a contract for lift maintenance services for the period 2025-2030. The procurement was conducted using an open procedure, with the contract valued at £111,240 GBP and awarded to Classic Lifts (Scotland) Ltd. This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in lift maintenance and associated repair services, especially those with expertise in managing reactive repairs involving various trades such as plumbing and electrical work. SMEs, like Classic Lifts (Scotland) Ltd, can leverage such contracts to expand their portfolios and gain a foothold in public sector procurement. The emphasis on quality and price criteria (70% and 30% respectively) in the award process underscores the importance for businesses to maintain high service standards while offering competitive rates to succeed in similar tenders. With approximately 3,000 properties under Maryhill Housing's management, the contract allows businesses to scale through long-term engagement in a strategic geographic location within Glasgow.
