The existing heat network energy centre is located within a school site which is planned for demolition and redevelopment. This offers the opportunity to construct a new low carbon energy centre within the new school development to supply low carbon heat to the existing heat network and the new school, by utilising waste heat and air source heat pumps, with peak and reserve heat supply provided by gas boilers.
