## Summary

The Scottish Government, based in Glasgow, has completed a public procurement process for the provision of Fund Management Services for the Volunteering Support Fund, with the contract currently in the award stage. The procurement falls under the services category and uses an open procedure method. The procurement aims to support general public services, focusing on enhancing volunteering opportunities, particularly for diverse groups within the community. This contract was signed on 13th May 2025 and is scheduled to commence on 17th June 2025, running initially until 16th June 2027, with potential extensions up to June 2029. The initiative is geographically located in the UKM region, aiming to improve the capacity of third sector organisations in Scotland.

This tender creates significant opportunities for businesses within the fund management and public service sectors, particularly those with a focus on enhancing community volunteering capabilities. SMEs, like Impact Funding Partners who have been awarded the contract, can leverage such opportunities to expand their portfolio and increase their impact within the social sectors. Companies with expertise in financial management, volunteer training, and community engagement are well-positioned to benefit from similar contracts, potentially aiding in efforts to diversify volunteer demographics and support organisational governance improvements. The emphasis on skills development and capacity building presents growth opportunities for businesses aiming to contribute to community-driven initiatives.
