## Summary

The Scottish Police Authority is planning a procurement process for the provision of Mountain Leader Training, as outlined in a Prior Information Notice (PIN) or Request for Information (RFI) dated 3rd June 2025. This procurement is categorised under the services industry, focusing specifically on public order and safety, to be delivered in Scotland. The procurement stage is currently in the planning phase, with a future notice anticipated on 15th September 2025. The procurement aims to engage a suitable training provider to deliver comprehensive and accredited Summer and Winter Mountain Leader training and assessment, inclusive of logistical support like accommodation and meals.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in training and development, particularly those with experience in providing accredited courses and assessments in high-risk environments such as mountainous regions. Companies with expertise in supplying necessary logistical support and equipment for outdoor expeditions will find this opportunity well-suited to their capabilities. Engaging in this tender can facilitate growth through association with public sector clients and expand their portfolio in the niche area of professional development for emergency services personnel. Given the modular and flexible nature of the training required, businesses capable of tailoring their offerings to individual needs and schedules are encouraged to participate.
