## Notice

Dundee City Council is seeking an operator to operate the delivery of festive activities to take place within City Square. We are offering a concession for the use of the City Square for four weeks up to Christmas to deliver festive activities within Dundee City Square area which will operate at a minimum over weekends. The following items would be considered for the square- * A varied food and drink offering including local businesses where possible * A funfair, which has an appropriate mix of traditional, family, and thrill rides. These should be themed appropriately for the season. Traditional elements that align with the weight restriction and site capacity will be considered. * Associated theming and dressing, including but not limited to, Christmas decorations, light features, projections, background music and designed site signage. * Christmas Market Stalls with local businesses where possible It is anticipated that to deliver these elements, the winning contractor will be required to hire equipment and to work with third parties to put suitable arrangements in place. Competent specialists should be used for each aspect where this is not available in-house.

Lot 1

The contractor shall be responsible for contracting, arranging and managing all support services and sub-contractors required for the activities delivered at the event. The main aims of the event are to- * Deliver a safe, legal, and successful event in line with industry best practice principles. * Create an affordable event for all and focus on engagement with the community * Raise awareness of Dundee City as a business and leisure tourism destination. * Increase footfall in Dundee City Centre during the festive period, encouraging visits * Provide a positive economic benefit to Dundee City Centre by encouraging the additional use of existing businesses. This concession would be offering exclusive rights to hold festive activities in City Square application for permission to use Council land, involves the Council issuing a licence to occupy. The successful Bidding Organisation will require to make arrangements to obtain a licence to occupy.

Renewal: There will be an option for contract to be extended for a further 2 x 1 year periods.
