## Summary

Renfrewshire Council is inviting tenders for its Framework Agreement aimed at sourcing trades contractors to undertake reactive repair, maintenance, and lower-value one-off projects. This process is being conducted through an open procedure for contracting authorities, including Renfrewshire Council, East Renfrewshire Council, and ONEREN. The agreement, focused on the 'works' procurement category, encompasses several individual trade lots such as electricians, joiners, plumbers, and more, with the option for multi-trades packages if coordinated expertise is required. The tender is currently active and stakeholders should note key dates such as the end of the tender period on 14 July 2025 at noon, followed immediately by the start of the award period. This procurement opportunity is primarily for projects located in the UKM83 region, which includes Paisley and broader areas covered by Renfrewshire Council's jurisdiction.

This tender represents considerable opportunities for contractors specialising in trades like electrical, plumbing, roofing, and building services, offering potential for business growth through steady workloads in public and domestic settings. Firms that are adept in reactive repairs and those that can scale operations to match fluctuating demand will find this framework beneficial, as it is designed to support existing in-house resources during peak times. Additionally, the framework’s duration allows for initial engagement over two years, with possible extensions into a four-year term, offering sustainable business growth and continuity. Businesses driven by competitive pricing and high-quality standards are likely to prosper, given the award criteria, which prioritise 65% on price and 35% on quality. The inclusion of community benefits and commitment to offering complementary social value further enhances the attractiveness for companies committed to communal development.
