## Summary

South Ayrshire Council is in the planning stage of the procurement process for a service contract titled "Provision of an Independent Advocacy Service for Adults." This procurement falls under the services category, as classified by the CPV code 85000000, and is planned to be delivered in the UK region of UKM94, specifically South Ayrshire. The contracting authority is inviting interested suppliers to express their interest by 5th August 2025, with a future notice expected by 15th September 2025. The Council seeks a high-quality advocacy service for adults aged 16 and over, emphasizing compliance with statutory requirements and Scottish Government priorities, particularly under several Acts related to mental health and adult support.

This tender represents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in health and social care services, specifically those with experience in advocacy services. Companies that possess skilled advocates trained to work with vulnerable groups, such as individuals with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, or neurodivergent conditions including autism, would be well-positioned to compete. Engagement with South Ayrshire Council could widen market access and enable collaboration with a central purchasing body while contributing significantly to community welfare through advocacy. Businesses with a strong background in individual and collective advocacy, especially those able to provide both instructed and non-instructed services, would find this tender particularly relevant.
