## Summary

The University of Strathclyde is seeking to engage service providers for a procurement process titled "Provision for the Facilitation of Citizens Jury". This initiative falls under the Education industry category, with a focus on designing and managing citizens juries across various locations in the UK, including rural Cumbria, Glasgow, Leicester, London, and Rhyl. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with key activities requiring completion by the close of business on 12th August 2025, for potential suppliers to express their interest by submitting a Market Engagement Questionnaire. The contract holds an estimated value of £50,000 and is intended to enable discussions around the UK's food system contributing to Net Zero targets and health improvement efforts.

This tender provides opportunities for businesses experienced in public engagement and community recruitment services. Companies skilled in participant recruitment, diversity engagement, and event management stand to benefit, particularly those capable of catering to diverse demographic groups. The task requires recruiting 18 participants for each jury, providing them with compensation, and facilitating the events. Businesses that can effectively manage logistics across multiple locations and demonstrate competence in handling representative demographic groups will find this tender particularly well-suited to their growth strategies.

## Notice

To lead the design and recruitment of five, 2-day citizens juries, each with 16-18 participants of diverse backgrounds, across the UK (provisionally rural Cumbria, Glasgow, Leicester, London, and Rhyl). The purpose is to discuss research and policy recommendations that will enable the UK's food system to help achieve Net Zero targets while also improving population health

### Lot Information

Lot 1

To lead the recruitment and support the implementation of five, 2-day citizens juries, each with 16-18 participants of diverse backgrounds, across the UK (provisionally rural Cumbria, Glasgow, Leicester, London, and Rhyl). The purpose is to discuss research and policy recommendations that will enable the UK's food system to help achieve Net Zero targets while also improving population health. The research team will design the citizens' juries, finalise the location details, facilitate each jury, and analyse the research data. However, a supplier is needed for the following key tasks: 1. Recruit 18 participants to each of the five juries, via phone-call or on-street recruitment methods. The juries will use a mini-public design, so participant groups should be broadly representative of the local populations in terms of: - Gender - Ethnicity - Age - Socio-economic status - Political preferences 2. Process compensation payments to the participants to cover their time and travel. To ensure the process is as inclusive as possible, participants should be given the option to receive payments by bank transfer, cash on the day or vouchers. 3. Attend each jury to welcome and assist participants on-site, including making cash or voucher payments.
