## Summary

The procurement process for the "Facility for Investment Ready Nature in Scotland (FIRNS) Mentorship and Peer Learning" is managed by Scottish Natural Heritage, located in Inverness. This initiative falls under the environmental protection industry category and is set to occur in the UKM region. The procurement is currently at the tender stage, with an open procedure allowing electronic submissions. Interested suppliers should submit their proposals by 29 August 2025, before 17:00 hours, with the contract expected to commence on 15 September 2025 and end on 31 March 2026. The estimated contract value is GBP 40,000.

This tender represents an opportunity for businesses that specialise in mentorship and peer learning, particularly those with experience in environmental projects, to expand their services within Scotland. Companies capable of forming a consortium and with demonstrated expertise in supporting grant recipients can benefit from this tender. The project seeks candidates who can offer tailored expert support to grantees, thereby contributing to business growth opportunities through the evaluation and enhancement of the FIRNS programme. Engaging in this contract can significantly benefit businesses keen on building their presence in the environmental protection sector.

## Notice

NatureScot along with the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and on behalf of Scottish Government, is running the Facility for Investment Ready Nature in Scotland (FIRNS). An independently facilitated Community of Practice (CoP) was a key component of FIRNS' original design during its first two rounds. This delivered a programme of events alongside the use of SharePoint and Teams site operated by NatureScot. While valuable connections were made, feedback indicates that grantees would benefit from continued but more targeted mentoring and peer learning support. NatureScot is looking for a supplier, possibly as a consortium, of services to provide tailored expert support to previous and current grant recipients and to contribute to evaluation of FIRNS as a programme. The contract value is less than GBP50,000 so this is not considered a 'regulated procurement' as set out in the Procurement Reform (Scotland) Act 2014. It is being advertised to reach a wider potential field of candidates.Full details are set out in the Statement of Requirements document attached to this notice. Bidders are asked to ensure they allow sufficient time to upload their tender documents by the stated deadline of 17:00 hours on 29 August 2025.
