## Summary

NHS Highland has completed the procurement process for a replacement Radiology Information System (RIS) to serve the North Highland region, including three main hospital sites and nine satellite sites. The procurement falls under the healthcare industry category and was conducted using an open procedure. The contract, worth £360,000, was awarded to Aptvision on 2nd July 2025. The initiative is supported by the aim to transition to a single RIS solution across North Highland and Argyll & Bute by 2028, indicating long-term strategic goals. The award is part of the framework for Medical IT Departmental Software and Hardware Solutions, providing critical IT infrastructure enhancements.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in healthcare IT solutions, particularly those with proven experience in implementing systems within UK healthcare settings. Given the scale and investment involved, it is well-suited for large-scale enterprises capable of delivering comprehensive IT solutions. Companies looking to expand into NHS projects or enhance their portfolio in medical information systems will find this contract a pivotal opportunity for business growth, offering a platform to showcase expertise and further establish their credentials in the public sector.
