## Summary

NHS Highland has completed a contract award for the provision of "LiveArgyll Facilities" under a limited procurement method detailed as an award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition. The contract was awarded to Live Argyll on 13th January 2025, with a contract value of £118,080 GBP. This service procurement falls under the health industry category, focusing on the provision of gym and leisure facilities in Argyll & Bute, specifically in the localities of Helensburgh, Cowal, Mid Argyll, and Kintyre. The tender process was undertaken to facilitate the Living Well Programme, which aims to deliver health and wellbeing services within a community environment rather than a hospital setting.

This contract presents significant opportunities for businesses engaged in the provision of health and leisure services within community settings, particularly those with existing infrastructure suitable for exercise and educational sessions. While the procurement method limits competition due to the technical necessity described, it underscores the potential for businesses to create strategic partnerships and allocate resources effectively to support community health initiatives. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), especially those with a focus on managing or providing leisure and health services, could find similar opportunities advantageous for expanding their service offerings and strengthening community ties in alignment with health and well-being programmes.
