## Summary

The Scottish Government, based in Aberdeen, has awarded a contract extension to Airtask Group for the provision of aerial surveillance and survey services, specifically focusing on the storage and maintenance of two aircraft. This contract falls under the General Public Services category and was awarded through a limited procurement process due to urgent circumstances. The maintenance is set to ensure the aircraft's readiness for sale by the Scottish Ministers, with brokerage services commencing from 1st September 2025. The contract, valued at £96,000, was signed on 30th July 2025. The tender process, identified by CASE/208601, has reached the award stage, with all required services being delivered at the supplier’s premises located within the UKM region.

This contract offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in aircraft maintenance and surveillance. Companies experienced in maintaining aviation equipment to Civil Aviation Authority standards, like Airtask Group, are well-suited to benefit from such contracts. The necessity for technical compliance and rapid implementation means that businesses equipped with specialised knowledge and capabilities in the aviation sector can leverage such opportunities for growth. Furthermore, as the awarded contract favoured a supplier with specific qualifications due to technical constraints, businesses aiming to compete in similar tenders should focus on developing unique competencies or partnerships that align with government procurement needs.
