## Summary

Fife Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process for the supply and delivery of fresh meat to Schools and Care Homes in the Fife region. This tender, titled "Supply and Delivery of Fresh Meat," falls under the category of general public services with a focus on housing and community amenities. The goods procured through this process are valued at £800,000. The procurement seeks to establish a new contract due to the impending expiration of existing arrangements, with an emphasis on ensuring a sustainable and uninterrupted supply that supports healthy eating in schools and delivers best value for Care Home residents. Key elements include compliance with food safety standards and a commitment to supporting the local economy and reducing the carbon footprint. Interested parties can expect further notices by 27th March 2026, in line with GPA coverage and CELEX legal basis 32014L0024.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in the supply chain of fresh meat products, particularly those with capabilities in delivering high-quality and traceable goods that meet rigorous food safety standards. Businesses that prioritise sustainable sourcing, fair working practices, and have a robust distribution network capable of ensuring continuous supply to multiple locations within the Fife region will find this opportunity advantageous. Additionally, companies that are well-versed in aligning with Scottish Government nutritional regulations and can offer value for money throughout the contract term would be ideal contenders for this contract, potentially fostering growth and establishing long-term partnerships with a substantial public sector client.
