## Summary

North Lanarkshire Council has completed the procurement process for the "Sheriff Officer Services 2026 - 2030" contract, involving services across the regions of Hamilton and Airdrie Sheriff Courts. The procurement falls under the general public services category and is aimed at fulfilling legal obligations across several council services. The procurement was conducted through an open procedure, and the process has advanced to the award and contract stages as of 7th April 2026. Contracts were signed on 26th March 2026, each with a value of £440,000, indicating a total contract value of £880,000. This procurement is a part of the open procedure, ensuring competitiveness and transparency, focusing exclusively on service quality with no assigned price weighting in award criteria.

This tender represents a substantial opportunity for businesses interested in providing legal services tailored to statutory functions, such as intimation and service of documents, ejection procedures, and diligence tasks. With a focus on service quality, the contract is ideal for large-scale legal service firms, particularly those with expertise in Scottish legal requirements. The opportunity to engage in a long-term framework agreement with potential renewals encourages business stability and growth. Companies equipped with a membership with the Society of Messenger-at-Arms and Sheriff Officers will be particularly well-aligned to meet the stringent technical selection criteria specified by North Lanarkshire Council.
