## Summary

The Scottish Government, acting as both the buyer and central purchasing body, is preparing to tender for the re-let of the Technology Peripherals and Infrastructure Framework. This procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a prior information notice issued on 9th October 2025, indicating that invitations for future submissions may commence from 5th January 2026. The framework, set to replace the existing one expiring in May 2026, encompasses a wide range of IT-related categories, including General IT Peripherals, Audio-Visual, Desktop Print, Networking, Servers, and Storage equipment, to be supplied and serviced across the UKM region. The main procurement category is goods with an estimated contract value of £50 million. The procurement will follow an open competitive tender process under EU regulations.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses within the IT and technology sectors to expand their market presence and leverage new growth avenues. Companies capable of providing a comprehensive suite of IT-related products and services, especially those specialising in infrastructure projects and hardware catalogues, are particularly well-positioned to benefit from this framework. With its broad product scope and high-value contract, it offers competitive avenues for both seasoned providers in complex hardware installations and integrative services, as well as suppliers adept in transactional hardware provision. Interested parties should monitor the future notice date in January 2026 to ensure timely engagement in the procurement process.
