## Summary

The public procurement process was initiated by the Scottish Police Authority for a back-office solution for their electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This involves migrating current services outsourced to separate suppliers into a single, unified contract. The procurement falls under the services category, with the process following an open procedure. The procurement was initially planned to conclude by 12th January 2026, with key amendments made to deadlines due to the festive period, extending the submission dates to 16th January 2026. However, the tender has been marked as cancelled as of February 2026. Interested parties should have focused on the UK region, specifically Scotland, with particular attention to Glasgow as the main location.

This tender represented a growth opportunity for companies experienced in providing back-office and infrastructure management solutions, particularly those related to EV charging systems. Businesses with strengths in software provision for charge point management, live monitoring, and data analytics would have been particularly well-suited. Companies operating in sectors related to electrical engineering, IT services, and sustainable energy solutions might find similar future tenders beneficial, allowing them to leverage their expertise in the Scottish market. While this particular tender has been cancelled, keeping an eye on potential new opportunities from the Scottish Police Authority or similar bodies could lead to valuable contracts in the near future.
