## Summary

The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow has concluded the procurement process for the "Supply, Delivery, Commissioning & Maintenance of Side Stream Filtration Units (2026-30)" under the award stage. This contract involves the provision of goods within the education sector and is valued at £296,683 GBP. The process utilised a negotiated route without prior publication due to limited technical competition, as only one company, Enwa Water Technology UK, was able to meet the specific requirements following a prior information notice. The contract was signed on 8 April 2026 and spans a four-year period, providing critical support to the university's district heating network.

This contract represents a significant opportunity for growth in the water technology industry, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises specialising in advanced filtration systems. Businesses that offer innovative solutions and technical expertise in water treatment will find this sector rewarding. The contract's demand for high-quality filtration, pH control, and corrosion inhibition creates an avenue for companies in the environmental technology field to showcase their capabilities in delivering cutting-edge equipment that enhances infrastructure efficiency and sustainability. The procurement is focused on ensuring robust maintenance and technical advancement, offering potential for continued collaboration and development beyond initial supply.
