## Summary

The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) is in the planning stage of a tendering process for grounds maintenance services across various central area establishments, including HMP & YOI Stirling, HMP Glenochil, and HMP Perth. This procurement falls under the services category within the public order and safety sector and is classified under CPV code 77314000. The planned contract aims to secure a qualified supplier to deliver scheduled and additional grounds maintenance services, covering tasks like grass cutting, maintaining internal and external grounds, and managing invasive species, among others. Interested businesses should be aware that a formal invitation to tender, including the Single Procurement Document, will be published on 16th February 2026 via PCS-T.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in grounds maintenance services to engage with a national agency, potentially enhancing their growth and reach within the public sector. Companies with expertise in environmental management, landscaping, and sustainable waste disposal practices will be well-suited to compete for this contract. Additionally, suppliers who can demonstrate adaptability and provide comprehensive services ranging from routine maintenance to the treatment of invasive species are likely to find this procurement particularly aligned with their capabilities. The structured timeline and detailed service scope allow businesses to effectively plan and showcase their unique value propositions in their tender responses.
