## Summary

The Common Services Agency, also known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), has successfully completed the procurement of QAS Addressing Software. This tender, classified under the health industry category, involves the provision of software licensing and support critical for address verification within clinical and business systems used by NHS Scotland Health Boards. Located in Scotland, this contract was awarded through a limited procurement method without a prior call for competition, aiming to ensure continued service delivery based on existing licence rights. The contract, valued at £530,984, was signed on 4th February 2026 and is effective for a one-year duration. The procurement process was intended to bridge the transition to new contractual arrangements under the Public Sector Geospatial Agreement administered by the Scottish Government.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses involved in software provision and support, particularly those with expertise in health sector applications. Covering a specialised area where technical expertise and existing licensing rights are paramount, such contracts can enable software companies to cement their relationship with public health buyers, leading to potential collaboration on future projects tied to digital infrastructure in the healthcare sector. Large businesses with a history of delivering robust, scalable software solutions to public law bodies, like the awarded supplier, Experian Limited, are well-suited to engage in and benefit from similar procurement opportunities in this sector.
