## Summary

The procurement process, led by NHS Highland, entails the provision of Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) services across North Highland and Argyll and Bute. The contract, identified by HH242-25-TW36, has been awarded to Change Mental Health Ltd. This process falls under the health industry category, with services slated for delivery primarily in the UKM6 region. The procurement stage is complete, with the contract agreement set for a duration of two years starting on 1 April 2026, extending to 31 March 2028, and an option for further extension of up to 36 months available. The award was finalised on 6 April 2026, with a contract value of £1,630,113.88. Given the tailored nature of DBI services, the procurement method employed was a limited award procedure, chosen due to the technical necessity of continuing services with the incumbent provider, Change Mental Health Ltd.

This tender offers businesses involved in mental health interventions an opportunity for growth by extending critical services in an established programme. Change Mental Health Ltd, recognised for its ongoing contributions since DBI's pilot phase in 2016, is well-positioned for this venture, utilising a framework that enhances inter-agency coordination. Companies with expertise in mental health service provision and a capacity for collaboration and community support stand to benefit, especially those able to invest in further service expansion and training. The contract scope allows for future growth and flexibility, indicating potential avenues for additional service provisions contingent on funding availability.
