## Summary

The procurement process for the Peatland Action Monitoring Surveyor Framework 2026 is being initiated by Scottish Natural Heritage, a prominent buyer and central purchasing body located in Inverness, Scotland. This tender aims to establish a multi-supplier framework to deliver peatland monitoring survey services vital for the Peatland ACTION Restoration Monitoring Network, covering various sites across Scotland. The initiative falls under the environmental protection sector, with surveys occurring annually from May to October. The procurement process employs an open procedure, encouraging electronic submissions via the designated web portal, and opens for tender submissions through to the deadline of 22 April 2026. The estimated value of the framework amounts to £220,000, with the procurement method supporting broad geographic distribution and supplier engagement.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in environmental assessments and survey work. Businesses equipped to perform vegetation quadrat surveys, feature status assessments, and fixed-point photography can leverage the framework to enhance their portfolio and ensure national coverage and resilience. With the intention to appoint up to ten suppliers, firms across Scotland can benefit from increased workload and collaboration in delivering essential restoration assessments. The open procurement method and electronic submission encourage participation from diverse entities, stimulating competition and extending reach within the environmental services industry. This framework agreement not only offers recurring projects but also allows potential contract renewals, fostering long-term business relationships and sustained growth in the sector.
