The aim is to enable residents and visitors to travel confidently by cycle knowing that if they need them, they can make minor adjustments to their cycles whilst out cycling. Previous experience has shown that these maintenance stands are popular not only with cyclists but also with others using wheeled machines such as wheelchairs and off-road buggies/pushchairs, particularly the inclusion of a means to inflate their tyres. The contractor will be required to supply and install, a minimum of three (3) public repair stations with the potential for further units to be supplied and installed subject to the success of the initial installations and availability of funding. The timing and location of installations will be agreed with the National Park Authority and relevant community groups.
