## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is in the planning stage for a procurement process seeking Leased Property Insurance services to cover industrial, commercial leased properties and leased theatres. The procurement process is classified under the services category, specifically related to insurance services, and is identified by the CPV codes 66000000, 66510000, 66513200, and 66515200. The Council's policy renewal date is 1 April each year. With engagement sessions proposed to take place on Tuesday, 12 May, interested parties are encouraged to register and attend either in-person at the broker's office or virtually via Teams. The Council plans to release a future notice on 12 October 2026. The procurement involves two planned lots: one for Industrial and Commercial Leased Properties and another for Leased Theatres Insurance. The intention is to establish a Framework Agreement, subject to change; the procurement is guided by the legal framework CELEX 32014L0024.

This tender presents substantial business growth opportunities for insurers specialising in commercial property and theatre insurance. Service providers in the insurance industry, particularly those with expertise in covering unique and complex leased properties, would be well-suited to compete. The Council is seeking insurers directly rather than brokers, encouraging organisations with the capacity to offer tailored insurance solutions for diverse property types. Participating in the engagement sessions allows businesses to understand the needs of the Council's Insurance Team and potentially influence the procurement strategy, fostering advantageous partnerships and long-term contract growth within Edinburgh's public sector.
