## Summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is preparing a Board-wide framework agreement for comprehensive fire door services, targeting healthcare facilities such as hospitals, clinics, GP surgeries, and health centres in Glasgow, Scotland. This initiative encompasses the supply, installation, maintenance, and compliance surveys related to fire doors and adheres to recognised industry standards. As of 26th March 2026, the procurement process is in the planning stage, with a future notice date set for 1st May 2026. The procurement focuses on the health sector and falls under the works category, with an estimated value of £2,000,000. This project covers multiple sectors, including South, North, Clyde, and possibly the Gartnavel Hospital Campus, aiming to enhance fire safety compliance across the NHSGGC estate.

Businesses specialising in fire door solutions now have a promising opportunity to grow by aligning with this framework. The procurement seeks suppliers that can demonstrate third-party certification and competence in fire door installation, maintenance, and compliance with statutory standards such as BS 8214 and BS EN 1634:2014. The firms capable of providing both planned and reactive support, including emergency services, will be well-positioned to compete. Suitable companies will assist in ongoing compliance inspections and surveys, contributing to healthcare fire safety improvement across multiple facilities, elevating service longevity and potentially expanding their client base through sustained engagement with NHSGGC.
