## Summary

The City of Edinburgh Council has launched a tender for a Gas Engineering Works Framework Agreement, aimed at the delivery of inspection, servicing, maintenance, repair, installation, and associated works across various gas systems within its domestic housing stock. The procurement is structured into four lots by locality, covering both installation/replacement and maintenance/repair/servicing works, with an active status. The procurement is being conducted through an open procedure and is currently in the tender stage. Suppliers interested in this opportunity need to submit their electronic responses by 22nd May 2026. The estimated contract value stands at £13,600,000, with operations poised mainly within the City of Edinburgh, UKM75 region.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses within the gas engineering services sector, particularly those with the capability to manage large-scale inspections, repairs, installations, and maintenance of gas systems. Companies equipped with the requisite technical qualifications and a robust financial standing, including a minimum turnover of £7 million or £1.8 million dependent on the lot, and meeting insurance requirements, are well-suited to apply. The framework agreement emphasizes sound economic, technical, and environmental standards, demanding adherence to quality criteria and price considerations. The potential for extension and the inclusion of community benefits further enhance the attractiveness of this tender for businesses seeking growth in public sector engagement within Scotland.
