## Summary

This procurement process was initiated by the Falkirk Council, located at Central Park, Larbert, UKM76, for the provision of Planning Application and Building SDM Software and Support Services. Falkirk Council aims to fulfil statutory duties regarding planning, building standards, and environmental management. The contract was awarded to Idox Software Ltd, with the award value being £401,082.88. This process followed the limited procurement method under the Crown Commercial Services framework without prior publication for competition. The award was completed on 31st March 2026, and active on the date of 20th April 2026, focussing on general public services within Falkirk Council's jurisdiction.

This tender represents a notable opportunity for businesses adept in software development and support services directed at local authorities. Companies with substantial expertise in building standards and environmental management solutions can leverage this contract to expand their business by providing critical software services to governmental bodies. Although the procurement method was limited, and the selection was made through a direct award due to pre-existing framework agreements, firms should nonetheless explore similar framework opportunities for entering this market. Large-scale suppliers, given their typical catalogue of deliverables, are well-positioned to take advantage of these procurement opportunities to demonstrate their value in meeting stringent software requirements.
