## Summary

The National Trust for Scotland is seeking to commission consultants for the "Mackintosh Illuminated - Community Consultation" project, under an active tender process. This initiative, supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, aims to preserve and promote the work and legacy of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald over a five-year period. The project will be implemented at the Hill House in Helensburgh and the Mackintosh Tearooms in Glasgow, providing a unique opportunity to consult with local communities. The procurement method employed is open, with electronic submissions facilitated through the Public Contracts Scotland website, highlighting a focus on services within the conservation and heritage sector. The tender period is scheduled to close on 6th May 2026, following which the bid opening will take place on 8th May 2026.

This tender represents a compelling opportunity for businesses specialising in consultation services, community engagement, or heritage preservation to expand their portfolio and influence in the public sector. Firms with expertise in data collation, project site management, and report generation for community consultation are ideally positioned to contribute to the project's ambitious goals. With a contract value of £15,000, the project invites diverse companies to offer their innovative solutions and expertise in engaging local audiences, shaping rich heritage narratives, and aiding in the development of interpretation strategies. Businesses that can deliver effective results tailored to specific community needs while adhering to strict submission guidelines stand to benefit significantly from this engagement.
