## Summary

Tayside Contracts, a regional buying organisation located in Dundee, is in the planning stage of a significant procurement process aimed at establishing a multi-lot Subcontracting Framework for Works and Associated Services. This initiative, with an estimated value of £20 million, spans the Angus Council, Dundee City Council, and Perth & Kinross Council areas. The framework aims to enhance the region's operational effectiveness by bringing additional expertise to support both planned and emergency works. Under the procurement, which is classified under General public services (COFOG) and the works industry category (CPV: 45000000), Tayside Contracts plans to conduct a market engagement session via Microsoft Teams on 1 June 2026. This is a strategic step towards developing a procurement strategy that aligns with market expectations and needs.

This procurement process presents a substantial opportunity for businesses involved in civil engineering, road surfacing, traffic management, and similar services to expand their scope by participating in a diverse and adaptable project framework. Contractors with capabilities in environmental services, barrier works, fencing, and civil engineering projects are particularly well-positioned to benefit from this tender. The planned lots, ranging from large to medium-scale works, suggest opportunities tailored for businesses of various sizes to engage with public sector projects and extend their operations within the UKM region. Participation in the preliminary engagement stages will enable businesses to influence the framework structure and approach, aligning it with their capabilities while contributing to regional development needs.
