## Summary

The Forestry and Land Scotland, located at Great Glen House, Inverness, is currently in the tender stage of establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for Specialised Peatland Restoration services across Scotland’s national forests and land. This procurement process is valued at £85,560,000, classified under the Environmental Protection category, and aims to provide a compliant route to market for services beyond existing contracts. Interested parties can electronically submit bids by 1st June 2026. The primary focus of the DPS will be on activities such as peatland rewetting, specialised tree removal, and supporting works, catering to the needs of areas designated within the region UKM. A restricted procedure method is being employed to manage the tender entries, allowing a range of participants between 20 to 20 candidates after an assessment based on defined selection criteria.

This DPS presents a significant opportunity for businesses specializing in environmental restoration, particularly those with experience in peatland management and associated services. Companies that can offer technical solutions such as mechanical mulching and hydrological restoration, or businesses with capabilities in managing supporting works like watercourse crossings, will find this tender particularly relevant. Participation could pave the way for long-term contracts and increased market presence due to the projected five-year duration with potential extensions. It also offers an avenue for smaller enterprises and subcontractors to engage with larger strategic environmental projects, thereby fostering business growth and expansion in the field of public procurement.
