## Summary

The Scottish Government, acting through the Scottish Procurement and Property Directorate (SPPD), is in the planning stage of the "Print & Associated Services 2027" procurement process. This upcoming framework aims to replace the existing multi-supplier Print & Associated Services Framework due to expire on 30 April 2027. The initiative, located in the UKM region (Scotland), encompasses services in digital, litho, and web-based print, as well as special printing for labels specific to NHS requirements. This planned tender, carrying a value of £36 million over four years, is currently seeking input from stakeholders through a non-competitive request for information. Interested parties have until 23:00 on 5 June 2026 to provide their insights via an online questionnaire. The procurement is guided by the category of general public services within the COFOG framework and is anticipated to advance to the tender stage with a future notice date set for 14 August 2026.

This upcoming tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in printing and associated services, particularly those able to deliver digital, litho, and web-based print services, along with specialised label printing for healthcare needs. Companies that can offer comprehensive service coverage across digital and traditional printing methods, while ensuring high quality and cost efficiency, are well-positioned to benefit. The procurement process aims to establish a framework that supports the sharing of best practices and enhances the economic value for the Scottish public sector. Additionally, the focus on sustainable procurement and adherence to the Real Living Wage as per the Fair Work First criteria underlines the government's commitment to fostering positive socio-economic impacts, making this an attractive opportunity for companies aligned with these values.
