## Summary

Scottish Natural Heritage, known for its commitment to environmental protection, is in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Beinn Eighe Wildfire Resilience Assessment and Mitigation Planning." This engagement targets the environmental protection industry category and is focused on the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve near Kinlochewe in the Highlands of Scotland. As part of their strategic planning, they are seeking insights on the approaches and capabilities available for delivering evidence-based wildfire resilience assessments and mitigation planning. Business entities are encouraged to respond to the Prior Information Notice (PIN) by 3rd June 2026, with a future notice anticipated on 29th June 2026. The procurement process aims to evaluate and enhance the ecological resilience of this significant natural habitat.

This tender presents substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in environmental services, particularly those with expertise in ecological assessments, risk management, and mitigation planning. Companies offering innovative nature-based solutions, wildfire scenario modelling, and field data collection are well-positioned to compete. Engaging in this PIN offers an opportunity to shape the development of the final procurement requirements and showcase capabilities to a significant public sector organisation. Firms with experience in working within protected nature reserves or with a focus on enhancing habitat resilience will find this engagement particularly relevant, providing potential pathways to long-term collaboration and contract opportunities.
