## Summary

Angus Council is planning a procurement exercise under the SDS Option 3 framework for the provision of home and community-based care and support services in Angus. The procurement stage is currently in the planning phase, with key dates including a deadline for noting interest on 10 July 2026 and the invitation to tender open from 27 July 2026. This new framework is set to commence on 1 April 2027 and is classified under the services category, with an estimated value of £248,358,000. The contract is intended to last for nine years, including extensions, and will be managed by Angus Council in partnership with the Angus Health and Social Care Partnership. The location for service delivery will be various regions within Angus, UKM71.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses in the Care at Home sector, offering the chance to secure long-term contracts in regional health and social care. Companies with expertise in adult and older people's services, including those for individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, and physical disabilities, would be well-suited to compete due to the person-centred, outcome-focused nature demanded by Self-Directed Support legislation. Given the extensive scope and duration of the framework, both established providers and new entrants in the sector can explore various Lots for specific demographic and geographic areas, facilitating business growth and increased service provision in Angus.
