## Summary

North Ayrshire Council is preparing for a flexible framework procurement process titled "Adult and Children/Young Persons Care and Support Flexible Framework". Currently, in the planning stage, this tender falls under the services category, specifically targeting General Public Services and Health. The procurement process, initiated on 24th July 2026, is intended to replace the existing framework, NAC/4280 Community Support Service, expiring in December 2027. The delivery locations specified include North Ayrshire and Arran, under region UKM93. Interested providers must submit the completed questionnaire by 13th August 2026, with additional tender stages anticipated to begin in early 2027.

This procurement opportunity presents a significant avenue for growth for businesses specialising in care and support services. Companies providing outcome-based care for children, young people, and adults with various disabilities or mental health disorders will find the framework aligned with their expertise. Firms must meet the Care Inspectorate’s requirements and demonstrate relevant service delivery experience. The contract, anticipated to have a nine-year duration with specific review points, offers stability and the potential for long-term partnerships. This opens up potential for businesses focused on improving health outcomes, catering to ageing populations, and reducing health inequalities to become key service providers in the North Ayrshire region.
