## Summary

The University of Edinburgh, acting as the buying organisation, has successfully completed a procurement process to appoint a Quantity Surveyor for its Building Fabric Maintenance and Small Works MTC Framework Agreement, under the services category. This procurement is aimed at supporting the operational framework EC0996 and has been executed using an open procedure. The contract, which has been awarded to Thomson Gray, spans an initial term from 15th July 2026 to 14th July 2027, with options to extend up to 14th July 2029. Located in Edinburgh, this tender highlights the strategic use of public law governance aimed at educational infrastructure.

For businesses in the surveying and construction industry, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), this tender represents a substantial opportunity for growth. As the contract was awarded through the University of Edinburgh's direct award procedure, and given its value of £200,000 GBP, firms with expertise in managing small works and building maintenance could leverage their services within the scope of this framework agreement.
