## Summary

The Scottish Police Authority is seeking a supplier for office furniture and associated equipment across its estate throughout Scotland. The work covers supplying, delivering and installing furniture and related products, with associated support. Delivery must cover the whole country, including the Highlands, islands and other remote locations. The requirement is for a single supplier to provide a consistent, reliable and responsive service across all required locations. The furniture supply includes office furniture and equipment, with installation and support forming part of the requirement. The Authority is the buyer, and Glasgow is identified as a delivery address; the wider service area is Scotland.

The Authority invited offers through an open procedure, with electronic bid submission. The procurement is a single-lot, single-supplier framework. The stated estimated value is £6 million. The submission deadline was 2 November 2026 at 12:00 UTC. The initial contract term is three years, with an option for one extension of up to 12 months. Evaluation is weighted 60% on price and 40% on technical quality. Bidders cannot submit variants. Electronic ordering and payment are provided for, and electronic invoicing is allowed. The buyer may make additional purchases within the procurement’s defined scope during the framework period. The contract is subject to the Government Procurement Agreement.

This suits furniture suppliers able to manage end-to-end supply, delivery and installation at scale across Scotland, including remote and island locations. Bidders need to show sufficient resources, infrastructure, qualified personnel, vehicles and delivery capability, and provide examples of similar goods or services, normally two from the relevant recent experience period. Suppliers must demonstrate suitable technical facilities and quality controls, and provide product certificates, test reports or conformity declarations when required. Quality assurance may be evidenced by an accredited ISO 9001 certificate or a documented quality-management policy. Core furniture must contain at least 20% recycled content by weight, excluding packaging. Environmental arrangements must address waste disposal, hazardous substances, WEEE where applicable, pollution prevention and environmental impact. UK suppliers need Companies House registration; waste-carrier registration applies where relevant. Required insurance includes employers’, public and product liability cover.
