## Summary

Abertay University is planning a web content management and digital experience service for its Dundee-based university of approximately 5,000 students. The scope covers three connected digital channels: a public-facing website supporting student recruitment, course and research promotion, marketing, communications and engagement with external stakeholders; a staff and student intranet with audience-specific content; and a web and mobile portal, currently delivered through the myday platform, providing personalised access to university services, learning resources, academic information and communications. The work is intended to improve recruitment and conversion, staff and student engagement, content management, digital communications and the consistency of the user experience. Delivery will support Abertay University at Bell Street, Dundee.

This procurement is at the planning and market-engagement stage: Abertay University is seeking supplier views to shape its future procurement strategy and business case, rather than inviting bids. The planned approach is an open tender for services, covered by the Government Procurement Agreement. The University expects to publish a subsequent notice around March 2027; this is an indicative date, not a response deadline. The estimated procurement value is £100,000 including the stated currency of GBP. There is one planned lot covering the digital experience platform and associated services. Suppliers are being asked to consider whether a single platform, integrated products or another architecture would best meet the requirements, alongside delivery approaches, operating models, benefits, risks, implementation considerations and indicative costs.

This will suit suppliers of web content management systems, digital experience platforms, intranets, student and staff portals, mobile services, systems integration and associated implementation or managed services. Relevant providers should be able to support a public university's recruitment, communications, service-delivery and personalised digital-service needs across several connected channels. The work is likely to require experience of integrating platforms and services, migrating or managing content, designing audience-specific experiences and supporting web and mobile access. Suppliers should be prepared to explain alternative technical architectures, delivery and operating models, implementation implications, benefits and risks in a proportionate way for Abertay University's scale and resources. Organisations able to help shape a sustainable foundation for future digital transformation should monitor the planned procurement and prepare evidence of comparable capability.
