Retention of Turnitin is essential for continuity of services and including student coarse work submission, plagiarism and collusion detection. The use of Turnitin is deeply embedded in academic processes and cessation of the current services or rapid transition to an alternative supplier / service is not viable. The proposed contract is a 12-month bridging requirement to enable the University to consider its requirements and revisit the market. Changing the Turnitin platform would create disproportionate technical, operational and financial impacts. Continuity of the incumbent solution represents the most proportionate and value-for-money approach. As such, the University considers Reg 33 (1)(b)(ii) applicable. (SC Ref:844450)",
