## Summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking a contractor to calibrate and repair mechanical testing equipment, and to supply and deliver equipment as required. Financial assessment requires bidders to pass at least two of three tests covering profitability, liquidity and gearing. Required insurance includes employer’s liability cover of £10 million and public liability cover of £5 million per claim. The Council also requires at least 40 community-benefit points, with bidders proposing benefits, nominating a delivery lead and providing a delivery method and programme. These requirements favour established providers with suitable technical capability, quality systems and capacity to deliver wider community commitments.
