## Summary

The University of Edinburgh’s Estates Department procured the supply and delivery of air filters and associated products for its estate in Edinburgh. The requirement covers panel, bag, HEPA and carbon filters used to maintain the university’s ventilation infrastructure. This is a supply-only contract: the products are to be delivered, rather than installed or maintained by the supplier. The work is categorised as air-filter supply (CPV 42514310), making it relevant to manufacturers, distributors and wholesalers able to source and deliver a range of ventilation filters for a large institutional estate.

The procurement is complete and the contract was awarded to YESSS (A) Electrical Ltd. It used a direct award through an existing NWUPC facilities-supplies framework, following a desktop request-for-quotation exercise; five bids were recorded. The contract was signed on 1 October 2026 and runs from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2030. The initial term is two years, with the university able to extend it by two further 12-month periods. The awarded contract value is £519,711.25. The requirement was presented as one lot, covering the filter products across the university estate.

This award demonstrates recurring institutional demand for a dependable supply of several types of air filter to support ventilation infrastructure across a university estate. Suppliers well placed to compete when this requirement returns will need to offer panel, bag, HEPA and carbon filters, and handle reliable delivery across Edinburgh. Experience supplying facilities or building-services products to large, multi-site organisations would be relevant. The route used here also matters: the buyer selected a supplier through a direct award and quotation exercise under the NWUPC facilities-supplies framework. Businesses seeking similar work with this buyer should therefore consider whether they can meet the product range and delivery requirements and participate in the relevant framework route.
