Planning | Find A Tender Service | HWTWRP Continued ME4

Southern Water Services Limited - The Hampshire Water Transfer and Water Recycling Project (The Project) is a Strategic Resource Option (SRO) and a major part of Southern Water’s long-term strategy to address the significant water supply shortfall in Hampshire. By using advanced water treatment technologies, the Project will transform treated wastewater, normally pumped far out to sea, into purified recycled water. This new resource will supplement natural spring water from Portsmouth Water’s Bedhampton Springs, with both sources being stored in the new Havant Thicket Reservoir. This integrated approach will maximise the reservoir’s capacity, ensuring greater water availability, especially during periods of drought. Water from the reservoir will be transferred to our existing Otterbourne Water Supply Works, where it will undergo further treatment to strict drinking water standards prior to going into supply. By establishing a sustainable and resilient water source, the Project will help safeguard essential water supplies for our customers while reducing reliance on environmentally sensitive water sources. The Project consists of a Water Recycling Plant, tunnel and pipeline connections, a High Lift Pumping Station, and a circa 42 km transfer to Otterbourne Water Supply Works inclusive of intermediate pumping stations and break pressure tanks. The Project scope includes Design, Build, Finance, Maintain and Operate (DBFOM) of new water infrastructure, including water recycling, water transfer, and substantial tunnelling works. The Project will be procured using Ofwat’s Direct Procurement for Customers (DPC) model, with a Competitively Appointed Provider (CAP) to deliver the DBFOM project. Under the DPC model, Southern Water plan to openly tender for a CAP. Southern Water has carried out several market engagement exercises to support this procurement. Southern Water does not guarantee that all activities referenced by the CPV codes will form part of any future tender notice(s), nor is the list exhaustive of all activities which may be included in any procurement process under this Project.

Tender | Find A Tender Service | Provision of a deep geothermal solution

COUNTESS OF CHESTER HOSPITAL NHS FOUNDATION TRUST - The Countess of Chester Hospital is working to meet its statutory net zero requirements in a number of ways. A partner has already been secured to address energy generation and usage on the site using the Carbon and Energy Fund framework. That partner is addressing energy infrastructure on the site, and included in that requirement is to provide an interface with the successful tenderer from this procurement (Deep Geothermal Solution Reference G1065). The Trust has also won a Public Sector Decarbonisation grant to assist with the geothermal installation. Under this geothermal procurement the Trust is seeking a development partner (The awarded supplier from this procurement) who will design a Salix compliant process to investigate and develop a geothermal supply for the hospital. It is envisaged that the successful Tenderer will propose a series of development stages or gateways. At the end of every gateway that meets Salix PSDS grant requirements the Trust intends to allow the development partner to draw down available PSDS funding. This way the Trust looks to minimise the development cost risks for the development partner, and to minimise the eventual unit cost of heat. Should the gateways all complete successfully, suggesting that there is a commercial opportunity to heat the hospital from geothermal energy, it is proposed that the parties will enter into a long-term Energy Services Agreement (ESA), that will become active as soon as the geothermal energy installation is complete and ready to supply heat to the hospital. The ESA will be subject to periodic reviews through the term. The estimated review period is 7 yearly. Under the potential Energy Services Agreement (Document 5, supplied under NDA as part of the tender pack) it is intended that any Energy Services Provider will own and maintain the installation for the contract term, and they may choose to enter into offtake agreements with other users so as to minimise the energy service cost to the hospital.

Rossett Community Council - Rossett Community Council is seeking tenders from experienced playground contractors to undertake the redevelopment of the children's play area within Rossett Park. The Council wishes to create an attractive, inclusive and accessible play space for children of mainly older ages and abilities that provides challenging, imaginative and sensory play opportunities whilst complementing the character of the existing park. This is to balance out from the toddler play area we had installed a couple of years ago, hence why it should be aimed at the older aged children, to encourage them to utilise our green space within the community. The successful contractor will be expected to provide all labour, materials, plant, design input where required, installation, testing and certification necessary to complete the project. The scheme is expected to include: • Removal of existing play equipment where identified. • Supply and installation of new inclusive play equipment. • Safety surfacing. • Accessible pathways and site furniture where applicable. • Landscaping and biodiversity enhancements. • Protection and incorporation of retained heritage play features. • Compliance with BS EN 1176 and BS EN 1177. • Practical completion, inspections and certification. Contractors should demonstrate previous experience delivering similar high-quality inclusive playground projects for local authorities, town or community councils or comparable public sector clients.
