Summary of the contracting process

The British Museum is currently in the tender stage for its Construction Professional Services Consultancy Framework. This procurement process focuses on architectural, construction, engineering, and inspection services within the museum's Estates and Capital Projects Department, which is situated in London, UK. The framework comprises seven lots, including project management, quantity surveying, MEPhF engineering, architecture and interior design, structural and civil engineering, fire safety engineering, and surveying. Key dates include a revised deadline for receipt of tenders by 24 March 2025 at 12:00, with the contract period spanning from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2029. This process is utilising a restricted procedure method, ensuring selective competition for firms that can provide high-quality, specialised services aligned with the museum's unique operational requirements.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses providing consultancy services in construction and design disciplines, especially those with expertise in strategic reviews, light refreshments, complex refurbishments, and masterplan projects. Firms that excel in delivering high-quality and budget-compliant services stand to gain significantly. This framework will support the British Museum in safeguarding value for money and ensuring alignment with its specialist context, presenting a prime opportunity for growth and long-term collaboration for well-suited businesses.
