As part of its work to promote AI-related skills in the UK, the Office for AI is looking to develop a robust understanding of the current situation of AI skills in the UK labour market in terms of demand, supply, skills shortages and gaps and the characteristics and pathways of the workforce in the UK. The research outputs from this piece of work are intended to inform the Office for AI's strategy and programmes focusing on the promotion of AI-related skills. For example, this research is expected to inform policy questions such as: - which subset of skills has the most significant gaps and / or shortage - which sectors or regions have the most significant gaps and / or shortage
