Summary of the contracting process

The University of Southampton is currently conducting a tender process for the provision of a 200mm Resist Processing Station, aimed at enhancing its multidisciplinary research capabilities in the field of photonics, quantum technologies, and nanoscience. This procurement falls within the goods category and is intended for installation in the nanofabrication cleanroom located at the Highfield campus in Southampton (SO17 1BJ). The tender period is set to conclude on 16th February 2018, with the contract expected to commence on 12th March 2018 and run until 25th January 2019. Interested suppliers must download tender documents electronically via the University’s designated e-tendering portal and complete the necessary Pre-Qualification Questionnaire by the specified deadline.

This opportunity presents significant business growth potential for companies specialising in the supply of advanced scientific instruments, particularly those experienced in cleanroom environments and nanofabrication technology. Businesses that manufacture or distribute analytical or testing instruments, and those with expertise in safe equipment design that includes user safeguards, would be particularly well-suited to submit a tender. Given the specialised nature of the equipment required, suppliers offering innovative technological solutions and robust support services will likely have a competitive advantage in this procurement process.
