Summary of the contracting process

The Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is currently managing a tender for the provision of supported accommodation aimed at adult female service users with complex mental health conditions. This procurement falls within the health and social work services category, specifically focusing on rehabilitation hospital services. The tender period is set to conclude on 17 August 2018, with a total contract value of £1,500,000. The anticipated contract period will commence on 1 October 2018 and extend to 30 September 2021. All relevant documentation must be submitted electronically through the Due North e-Tendering portal, ensuring effective communication via email with the procurement team.

This tender presents significant growth opportunities for organisations that specialise in mental health care and support services, particularly those experienced in providing high-quality accommodation and rehabilitation for vulnerable populations. Companies adept in fostering independent living skills and social inclusion will find themselves well-positioned to compete. However, it is essential for potential bidders to note that the procurement process notably excludes small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary community sector enterprises (VCSEs), thus narrowing the field to larger organisations capable of meeting the extensive service requirements.
