The service will provide a Carers Emergency Scheme for carers of people who live within the Leeds City Council area. The service will support carers to complete a carers emergency plan, maintain a register of carers who have joined the scheme and coordinate emergency care and support where the carer is temporarily unable to provide the care they usually provide due to an emergency. The service will be provided from a main base which is in Leeds and must be available to respond to an emergency 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 52 weeks per year.
