Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves the North Tyneside Council, which is awarding a contract for "Support Services for Young Carers" in the health services category. This initiative aims to identify and assist young carers within the North East region of England. The tender was completed on 23 March 2018, with the associated contract period starting on 1 April 2018 and concluding on 31 March 2019. The total value of the awarded contract is £36,000, and it was procured through a single tender method.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses engaged in providing health and support services, particularly those specialised in working with young carers and vulnerable groups. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may find this contract particularly accessible, given the focus on community-based support that aligns well with their capabilities. Companies with experience in social work, counselling, or educational support, especially those familiar with local statutory responsibilities, would be well-positioned to thrive in this environment.
